The music launch of Aisha was held on Sunday July 4th at at Tote's in Mahalaxmi in Mumbai.

The lead actress Sonam Kapoor attended the event with parents Anil and Sunita Kapoor, producers of the film, sister Rhea Kapoor, and younger brother Harshvardhan Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor wore a Vivienne Westwoods Red Label polka dot cocktail dress. The Lead actor Abhay Deol was abroad shooting. Anil and Sunita Kapoor played the proud parents and were all smiles at the event.

Javed Akhtar who has penned the lyrics said, "The music is very youthful and energetic. Amit Trivedi (the music director) is very talented." The album has six tracks (plus two remixes). Amit Trivedi of Dev D fame has mixed western sounds and instruments with Indian ones providing a perfect vehicle for carrying the ever resonant lyrics of Javed Akhtar.

Also present were debutantes Ira Dubey, Amrita Puri, Lisa Hayden, Arunoday Singh and Cyrus Sahukar, Director Rajashri Ozha and Sanjeev Bijli.

Aisha is an adaptation of the British novel, Emma by Jane Austen. Sonam plays the main protagonist. The movie has been directed by Rajshree Ojha and has been shot in Delhi, Rishikesh and Mumbai. Aisha is set to hit the screens on Aug 6.

VJ-turned actor Cyrus Sahukar, was the compere for the event. The evening also showcased few songs from the upcoming film.
